Microplastics are tiny plastic particles smaller than 5 millimetres that can be found in soil, water and air. They originate from the breakdown of larger plastic products and from everyday human activities.
MicroSphere+ focuses on exploring microplastics in local environments, particularly in soil. Through hands-on field investigations, students learn how to collect samples, observe pollution and contribute to environmental research.
Project activities & results
MicroSphere+ will develop practical teaching materials, citizen science resources and innovative digital tools to support the investigation of microplastics in local environments.
These resources will help teachers and students explore environmental pollution through fieldwork, data collection and interactive learning.
