Dermol svetovanje d.o.o. is an SME located in Slovenia, specializing in web solutions, training & consulting. The company’s main scope of work is building online learning platforms & portals, websites, as well as co-creating digital strategies. Among activities, the company offers coaching targeting especially SMEs in Slovenia, where it can help owners, managers and employees make first steps into the digital world. Dermol svetovanje d.o.o. manages several online learning portals, some of them in the English language and one public portal in the Slovene language. On this portal (https://znanje.biz), the company authors some of the online courses; the topics of these courses help people to obtain some relevant knowledge about digital media, thus supporting digital literacy. One of the company’s activities is also technical support of online conferences and other online events for clients from Slovenia & abroad (Makelearn Conference, PiConf Conference).

UPV is a public HEI actively involved in international cooperation and mobility projects. UPV hosts over 25,000 students and employs over 5,000 people (teaching, research, and administrative staff). It is the first technological university in Spain according to international rankings (e.g. Shanghai Ranking of World Universities) and offers 36 undergraduate programs (plus 21 double degrees), over 80 official Master’s degrees (including 4 Erasmus Mundus Master Courses) and 30 Doctorate programs. In addition, UPV has an extensive catalogue of lifelong learning courses (over 1.100). UPV has repeatedly ranked amongst the top 5 European Universities in student exchange figures under the Erasmus+ Program. UPV has experience in the management of European projects and takes part in different actions: Erasmus+, Creative Europe, Horizon2020, etc. and in several international networks, having more than 1.000 international partners from over 90 different countries.

Faculty of Environmental Protection (FEP) is an independent higher education institution that works interdisciplinary in the field of environmental sciences. Its operation is intertwined with natural sciences, technical, biotechnical, social sciences, and humanities. The faculty was founded as the Environmental Protection College in 2006 and became a faculty in the year 2022. FEP offers two courses: a three-year undergraduate and a two-year postgraduate master’s Bologna study of Environmental Protection and Ecotechnologies.
FEP’s interdisciplinary research activities are conducted within a research group named the Institute for Ecotechnology and Sustainable. During the period 2016-2022, the employees of the FVO research group jointly participated in 27 research projects (co)financed by the Slovenian Research Agency, six of which they also led. FEP is increasingly involved in (international) consortia within the European programmes such as Erasmus+, Interreg, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Biodiversa, LIFE, etc. The faculty also holds the new Erasmus certificate for tertiary education for the period 2021-2027.

The Transilvania University of Brasov (UTBV – www.unitbv.ro) is an accredited public HEI with a history beginning in 1948, in the central region of Romania, gathering more than 20000 students and 700 teaching staff members. Being a comprehensive university, the area of expertise is quite broad, gathering engineering, humanities and medicine domains.
From the 18 faculties, 9 are technical (engineering profile). The education process follows the Bologna principles; the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School has 18 doctoral fields. Beyond the initial educational offer, the faculties offer opportunities for LLP following the needs coming from the socio-economic environment.

Founded in 1998, Universita degli Studi dell’Insubria (UI) (https://www.uninsubria.eu/) is a modern and competitive university in Italy that educates 12,000 Italian and foreign students. UI offers a total of 36 First and Second Cycle programs, including degrees in fields with high relevance in the context of the EDU4PlastiCircular project: Biotechnology, Chemical and Industrial Chemistry, Engineering for Work and Environment Safety, Environmental and Natural Sciences. Also, UI offers PhD programs in Chemical and Environmental Science, and it is part of a national PhD programme in Sustainable Development and Climate Change.
The 400 faculty members of UI work in 7 departments: Biotechnology and Life Sciences, Theoretical and Applied Sciences, Science and High Technology, Human Sciences and Sciences of the Innovation for the territory, Economics, Law, Economics and Cultures, and Medicine and Surgery. The project’s team members are part of the Theoretical and Applied Sciences Department.
