On 25 September 2026, Transilvania University of Brașov hosted the EDU4PlastiCircular Multiplier Event, focused on the theme “Plastics in Medical Engineering: From Essential Materials to Circular Solutions.”
The event brought together academics, experts and participants to explore the role of education in plastic circularity, present the project’s educational modules, training programme and certification opportunities, and exchange ideas on more sustainable approaches to plastics.
A key highlight was the round-table discussion on the dual role of plastics in the medical field: essential for many devices and technologies, while also raising important challenges related to plastic waste, microplastics and circularity.
The event created valuable opportunities for dialogue, knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration, reinforcing the importance of education, innovation and cooperation in the transition towards a more circular and sustainable future.
Many thanks to all colleagues, guests and participants who contributed to the success of the event.
Together, we can turn the challenges of plastics into opportunities for a cleaner and more circular future.
