Education as a Pathway to a Regenerative Future

Education has a central role in the transition towards a more sustainable and regenerative future.

At the 12th World Sustainability Forum, held in Hong Kong from 21 to 24 August 2026, Associate Professor Elena Cristina Rada from the University of Insubria presented the lecture “Edu4PlastiC – Innovative Education for a Regenerative Future.”

The presentation highlighted how innovative education can foster sustainability, circular thinking and responsible resource management. Meaningful transformation begins by empowering people with the knowledge, skills and mindset needed to create change.

Edu4PlastiC supports learners in moving beyond traditional approaches to plastic waste and resource management. By connecting education with practical solutions, the initiative helps prepare future generations to develop more circular and regenerative models.

Education does more than raise awareness: it gives people the confidence and competencies to turn sustainability goals into action.
