The EDU4PlastiCircular project consortium has officially published its 10th Newsletter – Special Edition (May 2026), dedicated to the successful Multiplier Event held during the BRAMAT 2026 International Conference in Brașov, Romania.

The event, entitled “Advancing Engineering Education for Circularity and Responsibility in Plastic Use”, brought together representatives from universities, research institutes, industry, environmental authorities, waste management companies, consultancy organisations, media, and students to discuss the future of sustainable plastic management and circular economy education.

Hosted by Transilvania University of Brașov on March 6th, 2026, within the framework of the BRAMAT 2026 Conference, the event showcased the latest achievements of the Erasmus+ EDU4PlastiCircular project and promoted dialogue on environmental responsibility, plastic circularity, and innovative digital learning approaches.

The newsletter highlights the project’s growing impact in supporting teachers, students, managers, and employees through the development of educational resources, including a digital library and five learning modules integrated into the project’s e-learning platform available on Microplastics.today.

The multiplier event gathered 45 participants from Romania, Spain, Italy, and Slovenia and featured presentations from international experts and project partners, including discussions on:

  • circular economy and sustainability,
  • innovative engineering education,
  • waste management challenges,
  • environmental protection,
  • certification opportunities,
  • and practical industry experiences related to plastics and microplastics.

Participants highly appreciated the interdisciplinary approach, networking opportunities, and the quality of the presentations and discussions. Feedback also highlighted strong interest in educational tools, training programmes, and future collaboration opportunities generated through the project.

The event also generated strong regional visibility through conference dissemination activities, university communication channels, and local media coverage, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing environmental challenges related to plastics and microplastics.
