The EDU4PlastiCircular project was recently presented to Master’s and PhD students at Politehnica Setúbal, Portugal. The session focused on strengthening awareness and knowledge around plastics, microplastics, and the circular economy.
Colleagues from Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara demonstrated the project’s Digital Library and newly developed e-learning platform, highlighting how digital tools can support higher education in addressing plastic-related environmental challenges.
A clear message emerged from the discussions: awareness of plastic circularity is a MUST. Educating future researchers and engineers is essential for reducing plastic pollution and tackling the growing problem of microplastics.
Through initiatives like EDU4PlastiCircular, EDU4plastic continues to empower students and educators with practical knowledge and innovative learning resources—turning education into a key driver of sustainable, circular solutions.
