The EDU4PlastiCircular project was once again presented at Óbuda University in Budapest, Hungary, this time addressing a different target audience: teaching staff and young researchers. While previous sessions focused on other professional groups, this event was specifically designed to support academic dialogue and curriculum development.
The discussion proved to be intensive and highly constructive, as participants explored how EDU4PlastiCircular topics—particularly plastic circularity, microplastics, and emerging safety concerns—could contribute to improving the content of Safety Engineering courses. The exchange highlighted the growing need to integrate sustainability, health, and circular economy perspectives into engineering education.
Teaching staff and early-career researchers actively identified key implications for course design, emphasizing the importance of up-to-date scientific knowledge and interdisciplinary approaches when addressing plastic-related risks in professional environments.
This valuable dissemination activity was made possible thanks to the initiative of Prof. Anca Draghici, whose continued support strengthens the collaboration between Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara and Óbuda University within the EDU4PlastiCircular project.
By engaging educators and researchers directly, EDU4PlastiCircular reinforces its mission to influence not only learners, but also the educational frameworks that shape future engineers and safety professionals.
