EDU4plastic Engages Design Engineering Students at UPV Valencia

In November 2025, partners from UPV Valencia actively promoted the EDU4plastic learning course among Design Engineering graduate students and the Mechanical Engineering graduate students at the university. The sessions were part of the EDU4plastic project’s ongoing efforts to integrate plastic awareness and circular economy principles into higher education.

What made this activity particularly impactful was the full involvement of the students. All participating students took part in the implementation of the learning course, applying the concepts in practice and engaging directly with the project’s educational approach.

By working with future designers and engineers, EDU4plastic reinforces the importance of embedding plastic circularity, sustainability, and responsible design into the early stages of product development. Activities like this highlight how education can play a key role in reducing plastic pollution and addressing the challenges of microplastics.

Through our partners, including UPV Valencia, the EDU4plastic project continues to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to design more sustainable solutions for the future.
