Edu4PlastiC at the 7th Circular Economy Symposium

The Edu4PlastiC Erasmus+ project and the BIP-ESkid+ (Blended Intensive Programme on Environmental Sustainability) joined forces at the 7th Symposium on Circular Economy and Sustainability in Maastricht, presenting a shared vision for strengthening education, digital innovation, and international collaboration in support of Europe’s circular transition.

The joint session highlighted the vital role of international cooperation in advancing education for environmental sustainability across all age groups. By bringing together complementary educational initiatives, participants explored innovative approaches to integrating circular economy principles into teaching, learning, and capacity-building activities throughout Europe.

As plastic pollution and resource depletion continue to present significant global challenges, education remains a key driver in preparing the next generation of circular economy practitioners. During the session, special attention was given to the Edu4PlastiC Digital Learning Platform for Circular Plastics, which provides open-access educational resources designed to equip students, educators, researchers, and professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy.

The symposium also provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the achievements of the Edu4PlastiC project and to foster new collaborations among higher education institutions, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders committed to sustainable innovation.

Through its participation in the 7th Symposium on Circular Economy and Sustainability, Edu4PlastiC reaffirms its commitment to promoting accessible, high-quality education that empowers learners to become active contributors to a more sustainable and circular future.
