EDU4PlastiCircular Publishes Its 11th Newsletter – Special Edition on Multiplier Events in Slovenia

TThe EDU4PlastiCircular project is pleased to announce the publication of its 11th Newsletter – Special Edition, dedicated to the successful multiplier events organised in Slovenia during spring 2026.

As the project approaches its final phase, these events played a crucial role in disseminating project results, engaging stakeholders, and promoting innovative educational approaches to tackling plastic pollution through circular economy and climate-neutral development principles.

Multiplier Event at MFDPŠ Celje

The first multiplier event took place on 14 April 2026 at the International School for Social and Business Studies (MFDPŠ) in Celje, Slovenia, bringing together representatives from higher education institutions, SMEs, public administration, and other stakeholder groups.

Participants were introduced to the project’s key outcomes, including:

  • The EDU4PlastiCircular training programme;
  • The digital learning platform and e-learning resources;
  • Educational materials supporting sustainability and circular economy learning;
  • Innovative pedagogical approaches such as constructivist, experiential, collaborative, problem-based, and transformative learning.

Project results were presented by Prof. Dr. Valerij Dermol, while Mag. Alenka Dermol shared practical insights into the development and implementation of the educational programme within the international consortium.

The event generated valuable discussions on sustainability initiatives, educational innovation, and the practical application of project methodologies across different sectors.

EDU4PlastiCircular at MakeLearn, TIIM & PIConf 2026

The second multiplier event was organised on 22 May 2026 as part of the international MakeLearn, TIIM & PIConf 2026 Conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The conference attracted approximately 200 participants from academia, industry, public administration, and civil society. EDU4PlastiCircular dissemination activities were integrated into two dedicated special sessions:

  • Circular Economy, Sustainability & EDU4PlastiCircular
  • Sustainable Innovation, Circular Economy & Green Transition

Participants learned about the project’s objectives, educational methodologies, digital library, training materials, e-learning platform, and examples of good practices in sustainability education.

Discussions highlighted the important role of education in promoting behavioural change, reducing plastic pollution, and developing the green competences needed for the transition towards a circular and climate-neutral economy.

Strengthening Education for a Sustainable Future

Together, the two multiplier events engaged students, educators, researchers, and professionals, confirming the relevance of EDU4PlastiCircular and its innovative educational resources.

By fostering dialogue among stakeholders and sharing practical tools for sustainability education, the events contributed to increasing awareness of plastic pollution, circular economy principles, and climate-neutral development while strengthening the long-term impact and visibility of the project’s results.
