Education meets action!
The final session of the “Circular Economy and Appropriate Technologies for Sustainable Development” course at Insubria University was anything but ordinary.
Thanks to the active involvement of Prof. Elena Cristina Rada, course coordinator and a key contributor to both the EDU4PlastiCircular and ProPla projects, students participated in a dynamic and interactive lesson focused on plastic pollution, sustainability, and innovation.
Learning by Engaging
This session went beyond traditional lectures. Students explored:
The impact of plastic pollution on ecosystems and health
The urgent need to reduce microplastics
Sustainable alternatives and green innovations in plastic usage
The role of the circular economy in shaping a better future.
Through open discussion and critical thinking, the classroom became a hub for ideas, questions, and solutions. This is exactly the kind of transformation EDU4PlastiCircular aims to ignite in higher education.
Leading the Charge Through Education
By connecting classroom learning with real-world challenges, the EDU4PlastiCircular and ProPla projects are creating informed, empowered students ready to lead the transition to a more sustainable and circular world.
Kudos to Insubria University and Prof. Rada for demonstrating how powerful education can be in the fight against plastic pollution.
