EDU4PlastiCircular Project Highlights Circular Economy at ErgoWork 2024 Conference

The EDU4PlastiCircular project was presented at ErgoWork 2024 3rd International Conference of the Romanian Society on Ergonomics and Workplace Management, Bucharest, Romania, during the “EDU4 PlastiCircular Action Lab,” chaired by Angela Repanovici, Elena Cristina Rada, and Andra Diaconescu. This session showcased cutting-edge research on sustainable plastic management and circular economy approaches, led by diverse experts.

Highlights included:

  • Angela Repanovici, Dana Perniu, and Santiago Ferrandiz Bou shared a scientometric analysis of indoor plastics and their health impacts, drawing on Web of Science and VOSviewer.
  • Anzhelika Karaeva and Elena Magaril presented on essential management skills for sustainability in the energy sector.
  • Luminita Ioana Vlaicu and Angela Repanovici explored decarbonization strategies for companies, emphasizing greener practices.
  • Ramona Giurea, Anca Tulbure, Liliana Georgeta Popescu, and Elena Cristina Rada addressed universities’ role in advancing a circular economy for plastics.
  • Andra Diaconescu, Liliana Harding, and Claudiu Tiberiu Albulescu highlighted environmental education’s economic impact in higher institutions.
  • Dana Perniu, Anca Draghici, Angela Repanovici, Anja Bubik, Valerij Dermol, and Cristina Elena Rada provided insights into the health risks of micro- and nano-plastics.

Video demonstrations from DERMOL rounded out the session, showcasing best practices in sustainable waste management. The event underscored EDU4PlastiCircular’s impact and offered fresh insights for building a sustainable future.
